What a pleasure to return to the Upper Crust and find that the pizza and service where just as good, if not better, that our last visit nearly 3 years ago. An added bonus was that it was Wednesday and all craft beers were $1 off.

Ordered a couple of turkey subs and a salad from this place. First it took over an hour to receive our delivery and they didn't even include any utensils like we requested. Frankly, it was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever not eaten.

This isn't pizza , it's cardboard. I'm not even picky for pizza. But this, ehh :/ sorry but won't do this place again.

Just a little hole in the wall type of place... We went here randomly after snorkeling. The pizza was really good but it kind of had a "frozen pizza" type of texture. I don't know how to explain it. Not a bad place to stop if you're wanting a slice or a beer, though!

We were disappointed with Upper Crust Pizza. From the reviews it sounded like a perfect little family pizza place. However that was not our experience. The first thing that catches you when you walk in the door is the harsh smell of cleaner. I've been to many great pizzeria's and none of them ever smelled like Zep tile cleaner. Next the $10.00 greek salad was a small amount of mixed baby greens with a few chopped onions and fewer sprinkles of feta cheese. The grand final is when you realize that you just paid 20.00 for a pizza that is bland at best. The final trick of the night was when we asked for a to go box and the lady piled five pieces of pizza on top of each other in a clam shell instead of giving us a cardboard box. So my teenager couldn't even eat the left overs. The only thing good I have to say about this place is that it was clean.

We were craving pizza & stopped in to Upper Crust because of its proximity to the hotel. We walked in and were asked how many were in our group. After we said our answer, the gentleman behind the bar tossed menus to us and told us to sit anywhere. Not horrible, but not welcoming. Not the cleanest place, it felt neglected. The pizza was good-it hit the spot. Our waitress was great and helpful. Would have liked to have seen the employees cleaning & refilling items instead of chatting with each other.

really good pizza, fair prices and you can have draft or bottle beer. atmosphere could be improved. needs updating in every which way. could be really inviting if tables stools lights were changed. good place to stop with kids too. owners were nice.

Best pizza I've had in years, possibly ever!

They have great pizza!! We got the buffalo chicken pizza which was perfect amount of buffalo (not overly spicy) and onions and lots of cheese. We got ranch on the side and it was perfect together. Definitely a great place to go for pizza while in Key Largo.

Delicious vegetarian pizza. Good service and friendly atmosphere

Good pizza, garlic knots were VERY garlicy. Good service.

Service was below par and it took a while for us to get out two subs. The bread for the subs was awesome but it only came with two slices of lunch meet on a Chode sized roll. If you like soggy fries this is the place to go.

Always a good, reliable place to get food when coming or going into the Keys. Kids always seem to make us eat there when we stay at the campground. The ownership are nice people.

  • Travis M.

The best place in Key Largo for craft beer. The owner knows his stuff and always gets a bunch of rare great stuff in and keeps an fantastic selection on tap. You can also tell this place is run by a foodie, they have some seriously fantastic and original things like the princess pizza. Even a simple turkey melt has the most wonderful bread. Even if you're in the mood for simple wings they dress them up and make them great.

Everything is amaZing. Service- Always attentive. They greet you and check up on you. Garlic bread- 6 pieces of greatness. They have the right amount of garlic and its served with minced red peppers. With a little grated cheese and its heaven. Pepperoni Pizza - we always ask to have it well done and it's delicious. The tomato sauce is very tasty and cheesy. We always look forward to going here when in the area. Come over and check it out

We were in Key Largo on vacation and we had been told by some people we met that the food and beer selection were both excellent. Wrong on both counts. We ordered slices and I'm guessing the pie they came off of was sitting for a couple hours. We also ordered some pasta and sauce. The sauce tasted canned, very little flavor other than canned tomato. The beer selection was likewise unremarkable. We are beer nerds so we might be more picky than the average person but we were hoping for better after it had been talked up by people we assumed know about these things. Service was ok. Price was a shock. I would recommend you go elsewhere.

Best damn pizza and beer selection in Key Largo. To go or eat in, your gonna be a happy customer!

Good pizza. Service was good. Very small place. Went about 5pm. Quiet at that time. Seemed like a nice dive. Food came out on time. Tasted good. Got the BBQ chicken pizza with half bacon. Sweet and saucy. Crust was thin but not crispy.

From the wide selection of Beers( porters, IPA's, stouts, wheats and many more!) and much knowledge of the selections to the delectable choices of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and to the wonderful customer service, I never leave without having a good time and a smile on my face!

Whenever I drive through Key Largo I enjoy stopping at the Upper Crest Pizza. From their selection of craft beers I had a tangerine wheat beer and a the house specialty pizza. Delicious! House Deluxe Pizza; pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, peppers, sweet onion, olives.

  • Mark C.

Self proclaimed beer and food snob. First, the food. Homemade, fresh. Their crust is perfectly seasoned and cooked. My calzone: pepperoni, pepperoncini, fresh garlic, and buffalo mozzarella cheese. Incredible. The beer. Craft beer, real craft beer, talk to David. They are stocked on Founders, Green Flash, Avery, Winwood, just to name a few. Highly recommend

Wow, did I really just pay $27 for a medium pizza and a bottle of water? Cardboard crust- never again, I'll stick with Tower of Pizza.

  • Kevin G.

Awesome pizza... Thin crust, fresh toppings and not overdone... Just the right amount of toppings. You can't complain about the price either... It's pizza at its best..... I gave it 5 stars..... Need I say more! Get your pizza on!

  • Michelle S.

Stopped in for a couple of pies to go and it took no longer than 20 minutes. The eggplant Parmesan pizza is really good with the addition of spinach and I wish a bit more sauce! Crust is good and crispy as well. People working there were quite friendly.

Upper Crust Pizza is a must stop joint anytime you are driving through Key Largo. Before I go into the the pizza lets talk about the craft beer selection. I was so surprised to find craft beer here. They has the best selection of Lagunitas Brewing beers along with seasonal beers from Avery and other brewery I can't even pronounce. If you're not in the pizza or beer mood try the homemade tiramisu. Some consider this life's most southern guilt pleasure. Pizza is delicious and better described by experience. Word can't describe how I feel about this place.

My husband and I stopped here because it was right by Pennekamp and we were waiting to go scuba diving. I ordered a slice of pepperoni with a coke and he ordered two slices of veggie pizza with a beer. Our tab was $28. We were a little surprised because for that price we could have ordered an entire pizza! However, the pizza was great and the service was attentive. Would probably go back but order a full pizza instead of slices next time! :)

I have driven pass this place a million times and I should have driven by it again. If you like pizza that you were served when you were in school then you'll love the pizza here. This pizza might actually be worse then school pizza. Instead of ordering pizza here, just chew on a piece of cardboard and you'll be set:-) . There is a strange smell when you walk in as well as the T.V. blasting. The decor is outdated but the old school beer lights are pretty awesome. The lady that took my order was very pleasant ,considering she did everything except cook. Do yourself a favor and don't spend your money on their pizza. I'll definitely continue to keep driving by:-)

Should be called Upper Crusty. Our table was sticky and not clean. The plastic cups had brown stains at the bottom and the pizza was horrible. Service was bad too. Stay away.

The best garlic rolls ever! I suggest ordering 12. Very friendly staff. I love this place :)

Hands down the best pizza and the best wings in the Keys....and that's just the food. They have, hands down, the BEST craft beer selection in South Florida. Craft beer snobs and damn proud. I am a snob when it comes to the crust. After years of perfecting the recipe they have crafted one of the best crusts I have ever had. This is coming from a New York transplant from Jersey and having sampled pizza from Rome, Florence, Napoli and Venice. The topoings are fresh. The wings are perfect and the craft brew flows freely. I drive 40 minutes south just for the food and beer. It is well worth the drive. Nuff said.

In town with my family for vacation and the pizza was amazing!! It was warm and on time.. Cooked to perfection!!! I'm from Philadelphia and a huge pizza lover!! Two thumbs up!!

Seafood pizza with Alfredo = 7. Cheese pizza = 5 (it's like Sbarros without the mall). Grace gave the turkey sub a 3 and wouldn't eat it, but she also ordered it with JUST turkey and mozz cheese, so that was her own fault. Not anything worth waiting 30 minutes for your food. And the garlic rolls were literally dripping with grease and swimming in a basket of butter/grease. No wait for a table, but booth in the back is in need of more duct tape and a vacuum. We did have to wait for our check though, so that evens out.

Excellent pizza and best craft brew selection that I found in my trip to Florida. Owners and operators are super nice.

Called for delivery and they got my order wrong. Nonetheless pizza was frozen pizza quality.

Had the BBQ wings as an appetizer and they were great. Took a bit to get our pizza, but it was worth the wait. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but still really good. We had the house deluxe and it was loaded. My wife lived all the green peppers and black olives although I thought it was a bit heavy on the veggies and could have had a little more meat. Service was friendly. It's a bit noisy, but hey, it's a pizza joint. Overall all a good pizza and one I'd definitely come back for again.

I ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and a side of Fettuccini Alfredo, it was great! And the service from Sarah made it Excellent. I like to try local places and most of the time it's just ok and the service is lacking but I was pleasantly surprise. I really enjoyed the pizza and Sarah went above and beyond. Thank You!

Accomplished what we needed in getting food for our hungry bellies. Pizza was fine, but eerily similar to a frozen pizza you could cook at home. Cheap beer on draft

Definitely a place that is on our list to revisit. Credit where it's due. Their house pizza was brilliant and the BBQ wings were off the charts good. Cold beer and good prices. A keeper for us.

Don't bother with this place for a slice if you want your toppings cooked. Never have I had a slice of pizza come out with raw toppings, no kidding. It was basic cheese pizza with raw mushrooms and raw green pepper added AFTER the pizza was cooked. Hubby got pepperoni and sausage so fortunately his toppings were cooked but you could tell they were added after the slice was cooked. Very odd and expensive for what we got.

Super good pizza, super friendly and knowledgeable owner/staff. Best beer in key largo. Good selection as well, we only had the pizza but the menu is pretty extensive. We will be back!

Pretty good pizza place, but the garlic cheese bread is what really hit the spot for my family! Really good beer selection. Not much atmosphere, but worth stopping for a quick lunch while on Key Largo.

  • Jeff H.

This place is more of a bar with a small dining area off to the side than it is a pizza place. But with that said, the pizza is fair. It was fairly close to the resort where we were staying so we ordered take out. The 20 minute wait was closer to 30 and the price was pretty steep for 2 large 16" pizza's but this is the Florida Keys so I guess you have to expect that. I wasn't thrilled with the flavor of the thin crust, tasted a bit "Chef Boyardee" like. I've had better pizza but I've also had much worse. Overall, I would order from here again especially if I wanted to drink few beers while I wait!

  • Tim C.

I was blown away by this place. Great pizza. Nice sturdy crust, but light and tasty. These people definitely understand how to make a pie. Someone who works their definitely likes beer because they have a good selection on draft, including three brews from Thomas Creek Brewery. Typical laid back atmosphere you expect from Key Largo, but if you have the time, stop on by. Saw many locals (and police officers) getting take out.

  • Lisa J.

The pizza was so good here. The Alfredo pizza was unique and tasty. Service was good too. On our way to the car, a couple of drunks were stumbling around the parking lot, and one actually relieved himself by a tree. That was a little disconcerting.

  • Jennifer S.

This is a very casual place and the pizza reflects that. Nothing fancy but hits the spot.

  • Gary S.

This place has odd tasting pizza. Not a good odd either. I was a fan but the pizza has been slowly getting worse in the last few years. It is like a slow downward spiral. The good is the crust is firm but the sauce has become more nasty then an old jar of open tomato sauce in the back of your refrigerator that time has forgotten. This was always a better choice then the "tower of pizza" just south untill now. It is now a coin toss of what kind of lame pizza you will eat. The good news is that Paradise Pizza is not far away. The bad news is that they suck even worse.

The crew and I stopped here after kayaking and ordered a 14 inch pepperoni pizza, cheesy garlic bread and side salads. Pizza was okay, nothing spectacular. The garlic bread was pretty good and I liked that they served red sauce with it. The atmosphere was kind of dive-y but that's what you get in Key Largo. The service was good and the price wasn't horrible... Apparently there are specials Tuesday/Thursday for pizza and a pitcher of beer for $20.99...

  • Andy S.

Nice thin crust pizza. The garlic bread was excellent. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but worth the trip up from south in the Keys or just on your way out for a quick snack before the mainland.

Had take out last night. Nice server, food mediocre at best. Our kids could not eat the fettuccini Alfredo.

Always love this place. Have been visiting the keys for 10 years and this place is always consistently good and reasonably priced.

  • Chris R.

Pizza was fair, service not very good. Kids could not eat fetuccini Alfredo either as one Reviewer said. Disappointing at best. Good selection of beers but not listed on menu.

    (2)
  • Rachael W.

Pizza and service were good. Nothing to write home about but couldn't find anything bad about the place. Male and female owners/managers were friendly. Very laid back. Did the Tuesday Thursday beer and pizza special.

  • Jessica B.

We stopped at the Upper Crust Pizza while traveling through the Keys. Good prices, the veggie pizza was pretty good, crust not to thin or thick, and it was not greasy at all. Fun decor for the kids too.
